NOBODY likes to read rules and policies, we TOTALLY get it. BUT this information IS important so you can know what to expect from us, and what we also expect from you before you rent a yard greeting!

PLEASE take a minute to get acquainted with how we operate at Sign Gypsies!

*When signs are booked &/or paid for, you have agreed to all policies prior to setup*

Don’t see your zip code listed? No worries, we may be able to provide services outside of the listed zip codes for an added fee if we have availability for the date requested and make all attempts to service those areas when we can.  
 
Installation/Removal Times 
 
We can’t guarantee a specific time due to the nature of our business. Some signs take 10 minutes to install, others take an hour. Your setup/removal time will depend on where your address falls on our route for your selected date. If you need it installed for a specific time, please ask. We will absolutely accommodate your request if possible. We make all attempts to have every sign installed before 8 am. We start pickups after 8 pm.  
 
Important Information 
 
ï‚· Please DO NOT push/pull/lean on or move our signs. This is for our customer’s safety and those who are around the signs. We want you to enjoy your sign setup and take photos so we leave plenty of room so you can safely pose next to/between/behind the signs without having to move them. 
 
ï‚· If for any reason you do need the sign relocated please text/email us and someone will come immediately to move. We can be reached via TEXT at (916) 607-7137 or email at sacramento@signgypsies.com. Please understand that our signs must be moved only by our employees for liability reasons. We do not want any of our customers to be scratched or hurt by attempting to move the signs. Our stakes are delicate and getting our signs to look straight and uniformed is extremely important to us. The quality of our work is what we pride ourselves on. We also do not want our signs to be damaged as we have to use them daily for other setups and any damages means another customer will not be able to enjoy a sign. 
 
ï‚· DO NOT let anyone, especially children play/run/jump around our signs. We understand their excitement (we still get excited over the signs too) and they want to touch everything. If the signs are pulled off the stakes, the stake will be exposed and can hurt anyone who falls or steps on them. Our signs/stakes will not support the weight of anyone leaning/pushing/pulling on them and can cause our stakes to break under pressure. Broken stakes are so dangerous! 

 
ï‚· Please cancel or reschedule any normally scheduled lawn maintenance for the duration of setup. Our signs are made of corrugated plastic and weed eaters or flying projectiles will cause damage. Fresh cut grass stains our products. We hold customers responsible for damages and will charge for replacement cost of any damaged sign. 
 
ï‚· We only install on lawns. We classify lawns as unobstructed soil with WATERED grass on top. We CANNOT install on artificial lawns, tanbark, mulch, in flower beds, on/between concrete, in pea gravel or rocks, in compacted soil (example previously a driveway), or thick landscape. It’s not that we don’t want to, we physically can’t get our stakes in the ground. And on the rare instances that we were able to get the stakes in, the signs do not look as great. We refuse to give you a subpar experience and will cancel setup if there is no lawn as described above. We also will not install in backyards unless it is a daytime install and early pickup for an extra charge.  
 
ï‚· If you have pets PLEASE remove all pet waste from the area of installation. We move around a huge area of your lawn, at night, without the ability to see little treasures left in the way. We work on our hands and knees most of the time.  We also ask that pets be kept away from our signs for the duration of setup. The customer is responsible for any replacement costs if signs are damaged by your pet. If a lot of pet waste is left in the install area, we will cancel the setup. 
 
ï‚· WATER your yard in the days leading up to install and leave an outside light source on the night of installation so we can easily identify your address. When we say water, we mean leave the sprinklers on for an hour or more the day before we setup or make sure you are watering a minimum of 30 mins each day for 3 to 4 days before we come. Our stakes are not strong enough to penetrate hard, dry dirt unless we use a power drill. Trust me when I say the neighbors HATE being woken at 2 am by a power drill! If we cannot get our stakes it, we will be forced to cancel, and will access a 50% fee for our time and effort. If we cannot identify your house number in the dark, we cannot install the sign so please leave a light on for us.  
 
ï‚· There is no need for you to be home during delivery or removal. We will install your greeting quickly and quietly in the best location for aesthetic and installation purposes. If a specific location in your yard is desired, please let us know when booking. We will do our best to install if the ground is watered and our stakes can easily be put into the ground.  
 
ï‚· If you live in a gated community or your home is located behind locked gates, we will need a code to enter or you will need to leave our name with the security guard at the entrance. We will not wait if they cannot get you to answer their calls. If you home is surrounded by a gate you must open, please let us know so we can coordinate a specific time to install when you can have the gates open for us.  
 
ï‚· Please refrain from attaching anything to our signs (balloons, silly string, tape, etc.). These items can permanently damage our displays and you will be responsible for replacement cost.  


Ordering Process

ï‚· Quotes are only held for 48 hours. After 48 hours they are automatically cancelled. You will have to fill out a new booking form to get another quote if this happens. We have 50+ orders a day and have found some people just don’t reply back and we only have limited spots each day.  
 
ï‚· Payment is due 7 days before install for regular signs such as “Happy Birthday”, “Welcome Home” etc. Signs for Graduation will be due within 24 hours of ordering. We will send 2 reminders after the initial invoice. If they are not paid 24 hours after the last reminder, the invoice will be cancelled.  
 
ï‚· You can cancel with a full refund 48 hours before installation. After the 48 hour mark a fee of $50 will be charged for the time spent on pulling and preparing your sign for setup.   
 
ï‚· Please triple check the delivery address, spelling of the name and age. If the address is incorrect and we install at the wrong home, we charge full price to return, remove and install at the correct address. We send a confirmation email out the day before setup to make sure we have your information correct. We are all human and make mistakes so this way we hopefully catch it before installation.  
 
ï‚· If you are ordering for someone not located in your household (a different address than where you live) we require an adult on the premises of delivery be made aware we will be on the property for install and pickup. They must also be given a copy of the policies. The customer ordering and paying for the sign accepts full responsibility for the sign while installed at another’s address.  A refund will not be given if the gift recipient request early removal of the sign. 
 
ï‚· If the rental is a surprise setup for another member of your household, please close blinds/drapes during the delivery time window and leave an outside light on for us so we can identify the address easily. If we arrive to install and the windows are open and people are in the front of the house we will text the contact number to let them know we are there. After 10 mins we will install regardless of the windows being open or closed.  
 
Personal Injury & Damages

ï‚· We will not be held liable for injuries or damages that occur if you do not follow the agreed upon policies listed in this document.  
 
ï‚· All signs are property of Sign Gypsies Sacramento, you will be held responsible for all damages/replacement charges if rules and policies are not followed. 
 
ï‚· Sign Gypsies and all representatives are not responsible or liable for any injury or damage that may be caused to any person or personal property during the setup or removal of our signs.

 

Photos & Advertising Release

 

ï‚· We will photograph the greeting for use on our business website, social media sites and 
publicly congratulate the recipient unless you otherwise inform us not to do so. WE WILL NEVER TAG you or the recipient by name, but do use whatever name is in the display. You can email us at signgypsiessacramento@gmail.com before setup to request that we not share. We respect our client’s privacy and blur out any identifying information that may be in the background of the photos used. We also understand for safety reasons or fear of embarrassment (this is for the teens) that you may not want the signs posted on social media.  
 
ï‚· We will place a small advertisement sign in your yard with our contact information. We instated this policy after customers complained about people knocking on their doors repeatedly to find out about the sign. This was our best solution to an ongoing issue. Our ad sign will be placed away from the greeting so as not to distract from the display. If you do not wish to have an ad sign displayed, please let us know prior to setup by emailing us at signgypsiessacramento@gmail.com. Please do not remove or throw away our ad sign. There is a $30 replacement fee if you do so. 
 
Cancellations & Refunds

 

ï‚· We respectfully reserve the right to cancel an order if we feel the delivery area may be unsafe for our employees & our signs. We will contact you if this situation arises to decide on an alternative agreement/solution. If not agreement is made, a full refund will be issued. 
 
ï‚· We will not be able to set up or take down a display under serve hazardous weather conditions. We will do our best to make alternative scheduling arrangements, but if we are unable to set up a greeting because of severe weather (including wind gust up to 20 mph or higher), you will receive a full refund. 
 
ï‚· If you must cancel your yard greeting, you must do so AT LEAST 48 hours BEFORE your scheduled delivery in order to receive a full refund.  
 
ï‚· Rescheduling a greeting for any reason is subject to availability. 
 
Hold Harmless Agreement 
 
Customer agrees to protect, defend, indemnify Sign Gypsies Sacramento, LLC and hold its officers, employees and agents free and harmless from and against any and all losses, penalties, damages, settlements, costs, charges, professional fees, or other expenses or liabilities of every kind and character arising out of or relating to any and all claims, liens, demands, obligations, actions, proceedings or cause of action of every kind and character in connection with or arising directly or indirectly out of the Sign Gypsies Sacramento, LLC service agreement and/or the performance thereof. Customer further agrees to investigate, handle, respond to, provide defense for any such claims, etc. at his sole expense and agrees to bear all other costs and expenses related thereto, even if it (claims, etc.) is groundless, false or fraudulent. The agreement is in effect for the duration of the service process as defined by the effective dates of the service agreement.
